  • A clear vision and set of objectives, communicated to all stakeholders and they know their roles in meeting these objectives.
  • Appropriate planning, documentation and resources.
  • Focus on programme, stage gate processes, cost to complete budgets & risk registers
  • Experienced Project Managers with an appropriate technical background
  • Taking immediate action when warning signs are clear.
  • A professional Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) plan so Operations can operate, maintain and problem solve, safely and effectively.
  • Avoiding project creep were practical.

Complex capex projects are a challenge even to the best resourced and experienced organisations. Delivering projects that included automated and bulk materials handling technologies are further complicated as they often introduce new risks into the workplace, introducing new technologies and hazards such as explosive materials or materials that can cause occupational health or hygiene issues in the workplace through dust or spillage.  In addition these projects are seldom installed and commissioned in a green field site , so project activities are generally planned round a live site , were the needs of the operations team are seldom negotiable.

In essence our objective is to advise and guide your Engineering and Project Teams to deliver best value for your capital investment and avoid mistakes which could end up with an asset that fail to achieve the objectives the business has set.
